A man accused of rape, indecent liberties and other counts will have two hearings this week in Lyon County District Court.
Isaac Arron Lawrence is charged with single counts of rape and aggravated indecent liberties, along with two counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor, after an alleged incident on Christmas Eve 2021. The rape count has two alternate counts of aggravated indecent liberties attached.
The alleged victim in the sex misconduct case was 15 years old at the time of the alleged incidents. That alleged victim was one of two alleged victims in the alcohol case. The second alleged victim was 16 years old at the time of the alleged crime.
Lawrence has a review hearing at 1:30 pm Tuesday and a preliminary hearing at 9 am Wednesday. Both will be in front of Judge Doug Jones.
Meanwhile, a first court appearance is slated for Tuesday afternoon in a Lyon County drug distribution case.
Malia Thurman is accused of marijuana distribution after alleged activity in early December. She’s also accused of possessing marijuana and paraphernalia. Further case details have not been divulged.
The hearing is at 12:45 pm before Judge Doug Jones.
