The First Congregational Church is starting this year’s events by bringing back into the community calendar its Groundhog Day Dinner.
After COVID-19 the church had to stop its annual Groundhog Day Dinner for about three years. Church member Sally Conard says that after long planning and the community’s request of bringing back the event they decided to do it this year.
The event will take place on Jan. 28 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the basement of the church and members of the community will be able to enjoy a variety of food which includes ham loaf, baked potatoes, hot rolls, desserts, and drinks.
Members of the community have the option of dine-in or take out and also they can do free-will donations that will contribute to the church’s project and missions.
