The Emporia High boys basketball team won their opening round game of the Ralph Miller Classic 57-23 over Coffeyville Thursday.
The Spartans led from the beginning to the end. Coach Lee Baldwin said they earned the win.
Parker Leeds was the leading scorer for the Spartans with 17 points. Drew Hess added 10 points
The Spartans will play Andover Central in the Championship semi-finals Friday night with tipoff set for 8:15p.
