James Rojas scored a career-high 19 points to lead the Shockers who held an eight-point lead midway through the first half but couldn’t sustain it.
Jaykwon Walton added 15 points.
Wichita State falls to 9-9 for the season and 2-4 in the AAC.
The Shockers play at SMU on Sunday.
