The Emporia State softball team was picked 10th in the Coaches Preseason poll.
Defending National Champion Rogers State is the number 1 pick.
Washburn is 2nd followed by Central Oklahoma, Missouri Western, Missouri Southern, Central Missouri, Northeastern State, Nebraska Kearney, and Pittsburg State.
Fort Hays State, Northwest Missouri State, Newman, and Lincoln round out the poll.
Emporia State is set to open the season on Friday, February 10 against Chadron State at the Lubbock Sports College Invitational in Lubbock, Texas.
