The Emporia High boys basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak with a 41-39 victory over Manhattan Tuesday night.
Emporia High trailed by six early and managed to take a 14-10 lead after the first. The Spartans led by eight before Manhattan tied the game at 20.
Emporia High regained the lead and led by as many as eight in the second half.
Coach Lee Baldwin says the win is a good one to have on their resume.
Jalyn King led Emporia High with 15 points.
The Emporia High boys are now 10-4 on the season and 3-1 in the Centennial League.
Up next for the Spartan boys is at Washburn Rural on Feb. 3
