Bitter cold air is on its way to the KVOE listening area to close out the weekend and begin the work week.
After forecasted highs in the low to mid-50s Saturday, overnight temperatures will take a drastic downturn with lows forecasted in the mid-teens and windchills below zero. Temperatures will not warm up much on Sunday with highs only forecasted in the low 20s and windchills between five below and nine degrees.
Bitter cold will be the norm through at least midweek as temperatures reach the mid-30s by Wednesday and the upper-40s by Friday. There is a slight chance of snowfall by noon Tuesday otherwise the rest of the week will be dry.
