The Emporia State basketball teams were winners Sunday over Rogers State.
The Emporia State women never trailed in a 68-43 win over Rogers State. Coach Toby Wynn said it was a strong second half.
Tre’Zure Jobe scored a game-high 23 points to lead Emporia State. Victoria Price finished with 12 points.
Ehlaina Hartman had a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Faith Paramore finished with 10 rebounds.
The Emporia State women improve to 11-10 for the season and 6-9 in the MIAA.
The Emporia State men outscored Rogers State 77-63. The Hornets used a 14-0 run to open the 2nd half to erase a 6-point halftime deficit. Coach Craig Doty called it a gritty win.
Owen Long finished with a game-high 33 points. Kaden Evans added 13 points. Atavian Butler finished with 11 points.
Gage McGuire added 8 points and game-high 11 rebounds.
Peyton Rogers-Schmidt finished with 10 rebounds.
The Hornets improve to 17-4 for the season and 11-4 in the MIAA.
Both the Emporia State women and men play at Northwest Missouri State on Thursday.
