Jury trial is coming late next month for a man accused of shooting another in western Chase County last year.
Trial is scheduled for February 22 in Chase County District Court for Eric Joseph McClure following his latest appearance Monday afternoon. McClure is charged with aggravated battery and criminal use of a weapon after he allegedly shot at an SUV traveling from Emporia towards McPherson on Kansas Highway 150 in mid-May of last year.
The driver of the vehicle, Erik Reyes, was wounded but survived. McClure will have a final pre-trial hearing Feb. 13.
Judge Laura Miser is presiding over the case.
