The local community is invited to embrace love and kindness during a fundraiser luncheon for the Emporia Senior Center next week.
The Love and Kindness Luncheon will be held next Friday, Feb. 10 at the Senior Center. The cost to attend is $25 in advance or $30 at the door.
Senior Center Spokesman Ken Hanson, a recent guest of KVOE’s Morning Show, says all funds will support much-needed updates at the center.
All attendees will receive a “small Valentine’s gift” from the senior center. The menu for the luncheon will include Brunswick stew, salad, strawberry mimosa cupcakes and coffee or tea. The luncheon will begin at 11:30 am and all individuals who purchase a ticket will receive one raffle ticket for various prizes.
