SOS has announced its honorary chairs for the 10th annual Hope-A-Palooza next month.
Rick and Colleen Mitchell were nominated for the honor in part for their support to the agency as well as their all-around service to the local community according to SOS Director Connie Cahoone.
The Mitchell’s have resided in Emporia since the mid-1970s and have been heavily involved in the community from a philanthropic standpoint supporting various agencies and causes over the years. Colleen Mitchell says they have a great love for Emporia and being able to give back is the best way they know how to show it.
Hope-A-Palooza is SOS’ largest annual fundraiser and will take place Friday, Mar. 31 at the Bowyer Community Building. The theme for this year’s fundraiser is “Hope Under the Big Top.”
