Safe to say it’s a great time to be sporting Red and Yellow.
With the Chiefs playing in their third Super Bowl in four years, the local chapter of the Chiefs Kingdom was out in droves Sunday. This included a large turnout at Bruffs Sports Bar and Grill.
Owner and Manager Pete Deblonk, a lifetime Chiefs fan, says they’re always happy to host a watch party for the boys in red.
Deblonk adds he’s enjoyed seeing the growth of the Chiefs kingdom in recent years.
Local Chiefs fan Mark Aills agrees.
Aills, also a lifetime Chiefs fan, says the biggest difference between the Chiefs of the past and now can be summed up in three words, “there’s always hope.”
The Chiefs would defeat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 with a last-second field goal to claim their second Super Bowl Championship in four years. The Lombardi Trophy isn’t the only exciting thing coming to Kansas City as Union Station will be hosting the 2023 NFL Draft April 27-29.
