A Reading woman was taken to a Wichita hospital after two vehicles collided in Sedgwick County on Monday morning.
The crash happened at the Kansas Highway 254 junction at Rock Road around 7 am. The Kansas Highway Patrol says an SUV driven by 59-year-old Beth Phillips of Reading was westbound on K-254 when a car driven by 42-year-old Trevor Brewster of Wichita failed to yield after crossing eastbound traffic. Phillips’ SUV then hit Brewster’s car.
Both drivers suffered suspected minor injuries. Phillips was taken to Ascension Via Christi Hospital, while Brewster was not transported. Phillips was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.
