Street work continues near Village Elementary in connection to major renovations. They are now switching from the west side of the property to the east side.
The city of Emporia has announced part of Luther Street between 15th and 18th is closed to thru traffic, following work on Wheeler Street that began last month. The city says this project should last two weeks, weather permitting.
Village is undergoing renovations as part of the Emporia School District’s nearly $80 million Building for the Future bond package approved by voters several years ago. Construction at Village should be finished by late summer or early fall.
