Emporia State University will celebrate Founder’s Day with different activities highlighting 160 years of educational service this Friday.
After two years, the event is back in person and is expected to receive more than 300 people. Director of Alumni Relations Tiffany Wilson says is an important moment to celebrate how far ESU has come.
The event will start at 10:30 am in the Memorial Union Webb Hall with a reception to recognize Kellogg Society members who continuously support ESU and the ESU Foundation as also a special recognition to Kellogg Society guest Nancy Fleming.
The following activities include a student panel, luncheon and the announcement of the recipients of the 1863 essay competition scholarship. The scholarship is divided between two students who will receive $1000 and $863 respectively.
