Cardiac Rehab Week continues nationwide, and Newman Regional Health is highlighting the work of its cardiopulmonary department.
Director Donny Bellomy says area residents can take advantage of a lot of services at the hospital — or even across Lincoln Street at Newman Medical Equipment.
Registered nurse Erin Wilson says the Cardiac Rehab program is structured to build up the body — but also to let patients know why they are doing certain exercises.
The hospital is also — officially — concluding its year-long Centennial Celebration with a special project next month. Events Coordinator Michelle Margeson with details:
This month, the hospital has already filled several blessing boxes scattered across Emporia as part of a recent food drive. This week, it’s delivering 100 fidget spinners to SOS so kids can have those available during difficult conversations. It’s also recognizing several of its community partners with “small gifts” to recognize the partnership and their work done in the community.
