Emporia’s annual Legislative Dialogue schedule officially begins Saturday.
Activities will be at the Flint Hills Technical College main campus. The Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce’s Government Matters Committee partners with the League of Women Voters’ Emporia chapter for these events. Chamber President and CEO Jeanine McKenna says it’s a good way for residents to get updated.
House Representatives Mark Schreiber of Emporia, Eric Smith of Burlington and Duane Droge of Eureka have confirmed they will attend. Senator Jeff Longbine of Emporia cannot attend due to family responsibilities.
A light breakfast will be available at 8 am, followed by a roughly hour-long conversation starting at 8:30 am. Dialogues are free and open to the public.
