The Emporia High boys swim team’s 200-yard freestyle relay team finished in 15th place at the Class 5-1A state meet held in Lenexa on Saturday.
The team made up of Logan Woydziak, Shane Anderson, Tyler Luthi and Will Walker improved their position up one spot after qualifying for the consolation semifinals finishing with a time of 1:38.94.
All four members will return for the Spartans next winter, along with Ian Navarro, who was a part of the 400-yard freestyle relay team that also qualified for state.
