An investigation is underway after a gas leak in south-central Emporia on Saturday.
Emporia Fire was dispatched to the 400 block of Elm shortly before 3 pm, and Battalion Chief Ryan Conley says natural gas was obviously coming from a meter that had been damaged.
The scene was turned over to Kansas Gas for further investigation. At this time, it’s not clear how the meter was damaged. No injuries were reported.
