The Emporia State softball team defeated Sioux Falls and lost to Winona State on day 1 of the ESU Classic Saturday.
The Lady Hornets defeated Sioux Falls 4-1.
Ronni Rains, McKensy Glass, Emma Furnish and Lexi Williams each drove in a run for Emporia State.
Josie Harrison was the winning pitcher.
Winona State outscored Emporia State 11-2 in the Lady Hornes 2nd game of the Classic.,
Sunday Emporia State plays Minnesota State at 12:15 and Oklahoma Baptist at 4:45. Both games will be played at the Trusler Sports Complex.
