(esu) Emporia State pole vaulter Megan McManis has been named the MIAA women’s field Athlete of the week.
McManis became the first Hornet woman to clear 13 feet in the pole vault as she went over 13-0.75 to win the event at the Steve Miller Invitational hosted by Kansas State.
She is currently ranked #12 in the nation and third in the league entering this weekend’s MIAA Indoor Championships.
