The field for Flint Hills Technical College’s new executive director of economic partnerships has shrunk.
The college was planning to interview two finalists this week, one Tuesday and one Thursday. The finalist for Tuesday’s interview withdrew for unlisted reasons. The college has not named that finalist.
The interview — and time for public interaction — is still on for Thursday, with a Q&A session and “community engagement conversation” between 2-3 pm at the college’s main campus, 3301 West 18th.
The college says the person chosen for the position will be dealing extensively with its “economic sector partners,” also supporting both economic and workforce development in and around Emporia.
