Sub-state pairings for Classes 3A and 2A have been announced.
In Class 3-A:
In the Anderson County sub-state, the Osage City boys are the No. 1 seed. They’ll play Prairie View. Burlington is the third-seed and will host Santa Fe Trail.
On the girls’ side, Osage City is the No. 4 seed and will take on Burlington.
In the Eureka sub-state, the Council Grove boys are the No. 6 seed and will face Fredonia. The Council Grove girls are the No. 7 seed and will face Neodesha.
In Class 2-A:
In the Hillsboro sub-state, the Chase County boys are the No. 1 seed and will take on Marion. Northern Heights is the seven-seed and will face Bennington.
On the girls’ side, Chase County is the No. 3-seed and will take on Herington. Northern Heights is the No. 8-seed and will face Hillsboro.
In the St. Marys sub-state, the Lyndon boys are the No. 1 seed and will play the winner between Maranatha Christian Academy and McLouth. Mission Valley is the four-seed and will face Cair Paravel.
On the girls’ side, Mission Valley is the No. 1 seed and will face the winner between McLouth and Oskaloosa. Lyndon is the No. 4 seed and will take on Cair Paravel.
Class 2A girls and 3A boys will play their quarterfinal matchups on Monday. Class 2A boys and 3A girls play their quarterfinal matchups on Tuesday.
Emporia High will find out its sub-state pairings in Class 5A on Saturday.
