Area residents using Medicaid or what’s called CHIP health care coverage are being advised the state of Kansas will resume its eligibility review process soon.
CareArc says residents using these services will receive a letter from the state advising them whether they need to fill out a renewal form for qualification purposes. Residents receiving this letter are told to complete it as soon as possible to avoid any potential coverage gaps.
Residents or family members who no longer qualify for Medicaid or CHIP — Children’s Health Insurance Program — can still enroll through the federal health insurance marketplace at healthcare.gov. Residents needing to take this step are told to have all household and income information when they apply and to get as much information as possible about renewals. Residents can go online to medicaid.gov or call the Marketplace Call Center at 800-318-2596.
