Deteriorating weather conditions have prompted organizers of a special prayer vigil to delay the event.
A vigil in memory of Allison Hess was originally set for 7 pm Friday but now will take place at 7 pm Saturday. The vigil will take place at Emporia High, where Hess was a sophomore.
Hess died Thursday. Circumstances will not be divulged.

Following the death of an Emporia High student earlier this week, a special prayer vigil has been announced.
A gathering will be at the Emporia High front steps at 7 pm Friday to remember Allison Hess, who died Thursday. Residents attending the vigil are asked to park on the north side of the school to avoid any possible congestion.
Grief counselors were made available to help students and staff at Emporia High on Friday. Counselors will be available all next week at Emporia High and Emporia Middle School.
