A teenaged driver was hurt in a wreck late Friday afternoon near Lyndon.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says two vehicles collided at the junction of Kansas Highway 268 and South Croco Road at 4:15 pm. A car driven by 16-year-old Kayden Bergkamp of Vassar was initially eastbound on K-268, but Bergkamp tried to turn north onto Croco Road and hit a car driven by 39-year-old Justin Mullens of Topeka head-on.
Bergkamp suffered suspected minor injuries and was taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka for treatment, while Mullens was not hurt. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The Highway Patrol has not said whether travel conditions played a role in the crash.
