A preliminary hearing is set for Monday afternoon in a Lyon County aggravated assault and aggravated battery case.
Paul Eugene Heape faces two counts of aggravated battery after alleged incidents between November and late January. He also faces single counts of aggravated assault, criminal restraint and criminal threat.
The hearing is at 2:30 pm before Judge Doug Jones,
Also Monday, one man stands accused of trying to bring contraband into the Lyon County Jail last month and will have a preliminary hearing in that case.
Brian Lynn Smith is accused of trying to bring marijuana into the jail as part of an incident in mid-January. He’s also accused of possessing marijuana.
Smith’s hearing is at 3:30 pm before Judge Doug Jones.
