SOS is receiving two sets of grant funding to support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, according to Kansas Governor Laura Kelly.
SOS is receiving over $33,000 through the federal Services, Training, Officers and Prosecutors Violence Against Women Act Formula Grant Program. It’s getting another $23,500 from the federal Sexual Assault Services Program.
The STOP VAWA program works to respond to crimes against women. It develops, trains and expands law enforcement units, as well as prosecutors, judges and court personnel. SSAP gives victims crisis intervention and help with advocacy through the medical and criminal justice systems.
