There is a lot ahead for Lyon County commissioners as part of their action meeting Thursday.
In general terms, purchases will be a big part of the agenda. Commissioners will look at buying patrol vehicle cameras from Motorola Solutions at a total cost of $8,700, along with servers from Motorola at a cost of over $18,000. Also, LCAT will present a $9,400 quote from C Allen For Your Doors for a replacement garage door. County Engineer Chip Woods will present a nearly $30,000 quote from Terracon for inspecting and testing the Highway Department’s new shop and bridge building as well as emulsion bids for upcoming projects this calendar year.
In other business, Public Relations Manager Vici Smith will ask commissioners to approve both internal and external social media policies and information, especially related to verification of media sites.
Three executive sessions are scheduled. Two are for non-elected personnel and one is for legal matters.
The meeting starts at 9 am at the County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
