Oklahoma Baptist outscored the Emporia State baseball team 16-13 Tuesday.
The Hornets scored 3 runs in the top of the 1st inning on a Quinton Carlburg 3-run home run. Oklahoma Baptist answered with 6 runs in the bottom of the 1st and never did give up the lead.
Kayden Williams hit a grand slam in the 9th inning but it was not enough.
The Hornets are scheduled to resume MIAA play this weekend with a series against Fort Hays State to be played at the Trusler Sports Complex beginning Friday weather permitting.
