The Olpe girls and the Madison girls will meet for a third time Saturday in the Oswego sub-state championship game.
Both teams won their respective semifinals Thursday night in Oswego. Olpe defeated Flinthills, 64-43. The Lady Eagles never trailed in the contest.
Olpe coach Ron Slaymaker says it was a tale of two halves.
Kadey Robert led Olpe with 16 points. The Olpe girls are 15-7 on the season.
The Madison girls started the game on a 9-0 run and never looked back in a 56-24 victory over Colony-Crest.
Madison coach Bill Nienstedt says they looked like a team who hadn’t played in 10 days.
Sarah Miser led Madison with 15 points.
Madison is now 18-3 on the season.
Olpe and Madison will meet for at state berth at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in Oswego.
The Olpe boys and the Madison boys play their semifinals Friday. The Eagles play Flinthills at 6 p.m. with Madison playing Colony-Crest at 7:30 p.m. You can listen to the games on Country 101.7 FM with coverage beginning at 5:40 p.m.
