The Regional Development Association of East Central Kansas and other agencies are encouraging residents to take part in public visioning sessions coming later this month.
This comes after the city recently received grant funding through the USDA’s Rural Placemaking Challenge to offer support, technical assistance and training. Emporia is splitting $250,000 with Tunica County, Mississippi, as part of this effort.
Meetings are 5:30 pm March 23 and 9 am March 24, both at the White Auditorium Little Theatre.
