The Kansas Jayhawks are moving on in the Big 12 Tournament after a 78-61 victory over West Virginia Thursday afternoon.
Jalen Wilson led the Jayhawks with a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds. Gradey Dick added 18 and Dajuan Harris and KJ Adams each had 13.
Kansas is now 26-6 on the season. They’ll play Iowa State in the semifinals at 6 p.m. Friday. Iowa State defeated Baylor 78-72.
The Jayhawks played without coach Bill Self who is in the hospital dealing with an illness. The school released a statement after the game that Self will not coach the remainder of the tournament.
Self said in the statement, “I am very grateful for the overwhelming number of well wishes my family and I have received. I’m excited to get back with my team in the near future.”
