The Olpe boys basketball team advanced to the 1A Division I State tournament semi-finals with a 46-30 win over Centralia Thursday afternoon. The game featured 8 lead changes and 5 ties. Olpe took the lead for good with a 14-3 run at the end of the 2nd quarter. Truman Bailey led Olpe with a game-high 17 points.
Olpe Coach Chris Schmidt called it a complete team effort.
The Eagles will play the winner of the game between Wichita Classical and Elyra Christian.
