One person was taken to Newman Regional Health after a crash on the Kansas Turnpike in Chase County early Monday.
Emporia Fire and EMS was called to mile marker 105, about 22 miles southwest of Emporia and eight miles northeast of the Matfield Green service exit, after a one-vehicle crash around 1 am. A man was taken to the hospital. The extent of injuries has not been announced.
