An Oklahoma man was hurt in a wreck early Monday in Chase County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 24-year-old Zachary Hurley of Norman, Oklahoma, was hurt and taken to Newman Regional Health after the crash between the Matfield Green service exit and Flint Hills cattle pens, about 22 miles southwest of Emporia, right at 1 am.
Troopers say Hurley was southbound at a high rate of speed when the crash happened. Hurley lost control of his car, which spun out, hit a guardrail and flipped twice before landing on the driver side on a bridge embankment.
Hurley suffered suspected minor injuries. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
