It was not a good day in Hawaii for the Emporia State softball team Wednesday. Chaminade walked off with 2 wins over the Lady Hornets.
Chaminade won the first game 4-3, scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th for the win.
Emporia State was leading 3-1 after scoring 2 runs in the 2nd inning. Haley Garnett stole home for the 1st run and Ronni Rains scored on a sacrifice fly. They added a run in the top of the 7th. Alexis Dial scored on a sacrifice fly.
Chaminade won the second game 6-5 scoring 4 runs in the 7th on 5 walks and 2 errors.
Emporia State led 5-0, they scored 3 runs in the 1st inning off of singles by McKensey Glass and Sophia Rockhold. The Lady Hornets added single runs in the 3rd and 4th innings.
The Emporia State softball team is scheduled to play Hawaii Pacific in a doubleheader Thursday in their final games in Hawaii.
