The latest US Drought Monitor update looks a lot like the map from the last two weeks.
Essentially half of the KVOE listening area, along a line from just south of Council Grove to Emporia to Lebo, is out of drought altogether. Conditions between that line and another line from Teterville to Burlington are in abnormally dry conditions, but Greenwood County rapidly goes from abnormally dry to exceptional drought between Madison and Eureka.
Following rain, sleet and snow possible Thursday, the next chance of rain for the area begins Monday night.
