The deadline is quickly approaching for local entrepreneurs to get enrolled in Emporia Main Street’s latest educational program.
Main Street, in partnership with the Small Business Development Center, Hereford Cowork Space and the Center for Rural Innovation, will be offering a new E-Tech Startup class beginning Apr. 3. The five-week “boot camp” is open to anyone with a tech-based startup idea and will help provide needed resources and information on how to make that plan a reality.
The class will convene for two three-hour sessions each week with the final two sessions serving as a “presentation prep session” and a “final presentation session.” Emporia is serving as a test case for the program which is both a “nerve-racking” and exciting opportunity according to Main Street Director Casey Woods.
Each class will contain a specific subject matter that will be presented by representatives of SBDC, Emporia Main Street and guest speakers. The cost to reserve your seat is $100 with all classes running from 6 pm to 9 pm inside of the Hereford Coworking Space located at 628 Merchant Street Suite 1.
Those interested can register online at EmporiaMainStreet.com. The deadline to register is Monday, Mar. 20.
