The Emporia Recreation Commission has its monthly meeting Monday night.
Rec Director Tom McEvoy will deliver a report on specifications set to be delivered to auto dealerships for the leasing of vehicles. McEvoy will also present a donation from Emporia Sports promotion for new scoreboards to be installed in the Lee Beran Recreation Center’s gymnasium.
A review of the 5A state basketball tournament and a proposal for new flooring in the fitness center and aerobics studio will also be presented. The annual management agreement with the city of Emporia for the operation of the Jones Aquatic Center and the regular leadership team updates will also be presented.
Approval of financial statements, pre-approval of part-time personnel checks and the minutes from the February monthly board meeting are also on the agenda. The meeting begins at 5:30 pm inside of the Lee Beran Recreation Center.
