The Emporia High girls soccer team opens up its season Tuesday at home against Junction City.
The Lady Spartans were 6-11 a season ago. Coach Oscar Macias says they’ll be a young team once again.
Junior Eryn Templeton says she is seeing improvement throughout the team.
Along with their five Centennial League matches, Emporia High’s non-conference schedule features matches against Seaman, Chanute, Circle, Wichita Southeast, Wichita Classical, Wichita Heights and Wichita West. The Lady Spartans will also make their annual trip to Wichita for the Titan Classic.
Kickoff is set for 6:15 p.m. at Emporia High School.
