The Emporia High girls swim and dive team opens up its season this week.
It begins Tuesday with the divers taking the pool first with a six-dive invitational.
Senior Jacey Stutler is one of the divers this year. She qualified for state as a junior.
The Lady Spartan swimmers will have to wait until Thursday for their first meet.
Senior Alison Brown says she’s excited with what they have even with losing Brooklyn Wiltz to graduation.
Coach Jamie Dawson says Thursday’s meet will see how ready they are for the season.
Diving takes place at 4 p.m. Tuesday with swim events to take place at 4 p.m. Thursday at Emporia High School.
