The Emporia State baseball team outscored Northwest Missouri State 13-11 Monday afternoon to win the 3-game series 2 games to 1.
The Hornets scored 8 runs in the 4th inning highlighted by a 3-run home run by T.J. Racherbaumer.
Emporia State added 5 runs in the 7th on a solo home run by Quinton Carlberg and a grand slam by Chandler Bloomer.
The Hornets are now 10-16 for the season and 6-7 in MIAA play.
They are scheduled to host Northwestern Oklahoma State Wednesday in a single game.
