The Emporia State softball team swept Drury in a doubleheader Wednesday.
The Lady Hornets won the first game 9-1. Drury scored their lone run in the first inning and were held scoreless the rest of the game.
Alexis Dial led the offense hitting a 3 run homerun as part of 4 run 3rd inning.
Roni Raines also drove in 3 runs. McKensy Glass also drove in 2 runs. Gracie Rabe was the winning pitcher giving up the 1 run on 7 hits.
Emporia State won the 2nd game 5-4. Emma Furnish drove in 2 of the runs with 2 hits and a sacrifice fly.
With the sweep, the Lady Hornets are now 16-10 for the season. They will host Central Missouri Friday and Lincoln Saturday.
They will also be celebrating 50 years of Emporia State softball with alumni weekend.
