The fifth annual Logan Avenue Lion Launch Disc Golf fundraiser is set for April 1.
This year’s event is set to take place at Soden’s Grove.
Organizer Samuel Barrett says they’re excited to hold the fundraiser at Soden’s Grove, a course that’s only used on a temporary basis.
The day will be filled with activities. It’ll start at 9 a.m. with the men’s, women’s, and juniors ages 13-18 playing their round. At 12 p.m., juniors under 12 and parent/child doubles will play their round.
Along with the two rounds, yard games will be made available. The Emporia Zoo will be open giving tours in between rounds. The Emporia Public Library will have a story walk along the course. The Sertoma Club Miniature Train will be giving rides after the final round. Jack’s Snack Shack will provide concessions for attendees.
A raffle will also be available for a cornhole set, ladder golf, big jenga and signed discs from Dynamic Discs. Raffle tickets are $5 each or six for $25 and can be purchased now at Logan Avenue Elementary School or on the day of the event.
Barrett says the funds from the event will go directly to the school.
The cost for the event is $30 for men and women either pro or amateur and juniors 13-18. Juniors under 12 are $20 and parent/child doubles are $40.
The first 90 players registered will receive a player pack.
