The Friends of the Emporia Public Library will be holding its spring book sale beginning on Saturday.
The sale will take place at 618 Mechanic St just north of the library. Friends members of the library will get a preview sale from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the sale being opened to the public beginning at 11 a.m.
Out of four of the six days of the sale, there will be bag days where attendees can fill a bag and get everything for one price. Monday and Tuesday, it’ll be $10 a bag. Wednesday will be $5 a bag with Thursday being $2 a bag.
On KVOE’s Morning Show Wednesday, Friends of the Library Board President Dee Schwinn says those days are popular, especially with college students.
Funds from the book sale will go directly to the Emporia Public Library. Schwinn says the funds will help offset some of the necessities the library needs.
Hours for the book sale are Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
