Emporia’s favorite sport is coming to Peter Pan Park Saturday morning.
The Monkey Island Open disc golf competition will begin with registration and player check-in at 8 am with the first round getting underway at 9 am.
Round two is scheduled for approximately 1:15 pm.
The conclusion of the second round will be followed by the awards ceremony. The MIO is a qualifier for the Dynamic Discs Open, with two MPOs and one FPO earning spots in the Mixed and Women’s Pro Open divisions.
In addition to these divisions, the tournament will see the Mixed and Women’s Pro 40+, Mixed Pro 50+, Mixed Pro 60+, Mixed Am 2, and the Women’s Am 2 compete.
