The Emporia State Softball was swept by Central Missouri in a doubleheader Friday. Central won the first game 5-4.
Central built a 5-0 lead with a run in the 1st inning and 4 runs in the 5th inning. Emporia State scored a run in the bottom of the 5th when Lexi Williams scored on an Emma Furnish double.
The Lady Hornets scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th. Emma Furnish tripled to drive in Lexi Williams. Furnish and Abby Ward scored on a Haley Garnett single.
Central Missouri won the second game 4-1. Emporia State scored first in the 2nd inning. Alexis Dial scored on a Josie Harrison single.
Central Missouri 2 runs in the 3rd inning and added 2 more runs in the 5th inning.
Saturday Emporia State hosts Lincoln in a doubleheader. The first pitch at Trusler is set for 12 pm.
Both games will be broadcast on MIX 104.9.
