A lot of people who win large contests or prizes will typically say they “couldn’t believe” it was happening.
That saying was very literal for Madison resident Chris Murphy when she received the phone call telling her she was the grand-prize winner of Westwood One’s Live in the Vineyard contest earlier this week.
For being the grand-prize winner, Murphy will now travel to Napa Valley, California for the Live in the Vineyard Goes Country in April for a day of music, meals, wine and fun. Murphy says she first heard about, and later applied to the contest, by listening to Country 101.7 FM.
Hearing all that was included, Murphy says she knew it was a “dream trip” for her.
Live in the Vineyard will take place Tuesday, Apr. 25-27 with performances from Lauren Alaina, Jimmie Allen, Wade Bowen, Brandy Clark, Jackson Dean and Jake Owen just to name a few.
