Kansas States’ magic carpet ride came to an end Saturday in the NCAA Mens Division I basketball tournament. Florida Atlantic held on for a 79-76 win over Kansas State in the East Region Championship game.
The game featured 12 lead changes and 7 ties. Florida Atlantic took the lead for good with over 6 minutes to play.

Markquis Nowell had another big game for Kansas State finishing with 30 points and 12 assists.
Nae’Qwan Tomlin was the only other Kansas State player to score in double-figures finishing with 14 points.
Kansas State finishes with a 26-10 record.
Florida Atlantic advances to the Final 4 for the first time in school history.
They will play the winner of Sunday’s game between Creighton and San Diego State.
In the West Region Championship game, UConn rolled to an 82-54 win over Gonzaga.
UConn will play the winner of Sunday’s Midwest Region Championship game between Texas and Miami.
